V!28 CALL FOR PAPERS | THE DIGITAL AND THE SOUTH: QUESTIONINGS

2024-05-21

The twenty-eighth issue of the VIRUS journal seeks to bring together scientific articles and critical essays that problematize the relations between the digital and the Global South through critical reflections on the tensions and challenges in the interactions between the multiple aspects of digital culture and the different realities in the South. These are multifaceted relationships woven by a plurality of factors, with evident contributions to the academic sphere, the world of work, and society, but also pervaded by conflicts and complex socio-political, economic, and environmental dynamics within the scope of North-South and South-South relations. This issue hopes to contribute to the topic's critical examination, especially considering the enormous diversity of people, cultures, and social groups in cities, nations, and the planet.

- Submissions from May 20th to August 18th, 2024
- Release December 2024
